How to save movie recommendations from Reels and TikTok
Someone lists ten films you want to see, and you save the Reel. A week later you remember the thumbnail and not one title, and finding where each film streams is an evening of its own. Here is how to do it by hand, and how to hand the job over.

Why a saved film list is not a list
In Instagram and TikTok you cannot select the caption, and the titles in a video are said or shown for a second each. What you saved is a video you will have to watch again, pausing to type.
The second half is the real work. A title alone does not get you to the film: you need to know which “The Mummy” they meant, and then which of your services has it this month. Ten films, ten searches, and the list is still in your head.
The manual way, with no extra app
This works with the apps already on your phone.
Check the caption and the comments
Open the full caption and the pinned comment: creators often list the titles there, and the comments correct a title the video got wrong.
Write the titles down
One note per video: each title with the year or the director if the video gives them, and the link to the video (Share, then Copy link).
Pin each film down
Search the title together with its year or director. A common title names several films, and the remake is rarely the one the video meant.
Find where it streams
Search the film in the TV app on an Apple device or on JustWatch to see which services have it in your country, then add it to your watchlist there.
Free and reliable, and a couple of minutes per film. Most lists never get finished.
The Inboxy way
Inboxy reads the video and sends the films back as a list, each one pinned to the right film and linked to where it plays.
Copy the link
In Instagram or TikTok tap Share, then Copy link. A YouTube link works the same way.
Send it to Inboxy
Paste the link into a chat with @InboxyAIBot in Telegram. On an iPhone you can skip the copying: tap Share and pick Inboxy.
Let it read the titles
Inboxy takes the caption, what is said and the text shown in the frames, and picks out every film and series named there, with the year or the director when the video gives them.
It checks every title
Each title is matched against Wikidata, the catalog behind Wikipedia: the exact title in English, Russian or Ukrainian has to agree with the year or the director from the video. A film the video shows but never names is listed as “Looks like”. A title that could be several films stays a search: a wrong film is worse than none.
See where to watch
A confirmed film links to its watch page: the services that have it in your country, by subscription, free, rent or buy. A film that was not confirmed links to a search by its name.
Lists keep their theme. In a digest and in the answer to a question, the films stay under the title of the post they came from: “Top 10 documentaries about electronic music” stays that list, not ten films loose in a pile. Ask “what did I save to watch with the kids?” and the answer cites the save.
What to expect, honestly
- Where to watch is for your country, and services change their catalogs: check the page before you sit down.
- A title the video gives with no year and no director, when several films carry it, stays a search by name. Inboxy would rather leave a film unconfirmed than send you to the wrong one.
- Series are listed next to the films.
- Inboxy links to the services. It does not play or download films.
- The video has to be public. Inboxy reads it from the link and cannot see private accounts.
- The Free plan covers 50 saves a month.
Questions
How do I find the films from a Reel I saved?
Open the caption and the pinned comment first: many creators list the titles there. If they only said them, write them down with the year, or send the link to Inboxy and get the list with each film checked against the catalog.
How does Inboxy know which film the video meant?
It matches the exact title with the year or the director the video gives against Wikidata. With neither, the title has to belong to one film, or to one far better known than its namesakes; otherwise it stays a search.
Does it show where to watch?
A confirmed film links to its watch page with the services that have it in your country, by subscription, free, rent or buy.
Does it work with TV series?
Yes. A series named in the video is listed next to the films.
Is it free?
The Free plan includes 50 saves a month. Pro removes the monthly limits.
